Music Video : Metronomy “Night Owl” (Directed by Mr. Oizo)
Oizo plunges Metronomy into his super surreal and morbidly hilarious universe.

A modern electro prog pop track that pulls from the bloghaus sonic palette mixed with the 70s stylings of 10cc and ELO.
Metronomy takes a very lively organic approach to the title track off of their upcoming album “Love Letters”. The 5th Dimension would be proud of this 70s motown pop tinged tune. Definitely a juxtaposing sound to the first single “I’m Aquarius”.
Metronomy unveils the title of their upcoming album “Love Letter” and the first single “I’m Aquarius”. It is a delicate mid-tempo ballad that dives into the spiraling thoughts and reflections of an unwinding relationship. The simple instrumentation is propelled by a cycling “shoo-doo-doo-ah” and carefully programmed 808 beat. Metronomy is definitely tapping into something really special.
Metronomy has released one of my favorite albums of the year with “The English Riviera” – an album that exercises the power of subtly through production, songwriting, lyrics, and musicianship. At first it took over 5+ listens to really appreciate and understand the album, especially after not being a fan of their previous LP’s. “The Look” was the tune that won me over and after seeing them live in Tours, France back in February I was ready to accept Metronomy into my life. Listen to this teaser of Erol Alkan’s remix of “The Bay” – a tune that makes slap bass cool again.
