Music Go Music x Fred Falke

Fred Falke strikes back – this time using his magic French touch on LA’s Music Go Music, that 70s ABBA/Olivia Newton John, disco band signed to Secretly Canadian. Interesting use of that 8-bit sounding synth. Check out what Kama Maza from Music go Music has to say about Fred’s remix:

“Fred’s version leans more towards those major chords… I’m not sure how those kind of changes affect the story. It seems to draw more attention to the choruses, and make them seem more like catharsis than resignation…”

Miike Snow x Fred Falke

Miike Snow is officially on my top 3 albums list of 2009. Check out this remix by Mr. Falke, usual production style – simple, lofty disco.

French Horn Rebellion vs. Database x Hey Champ

Pete from Hey Champ just sent me over this new remix they just finished for their buddies, French Horn Rebellion. Hey Champ channels their french disco/house side and produces a track that Fred Falke, Alan Braxe, Allure, and Breakbot would be proud of or either upset about because a bunch of American’s are stealing their sound. Either way cheers boys!

Grizzly Bear x Fred Falke

YES. Mr. Falke you are unstoppable. Great remix even though I still prefer the original. Veckatimest is definitely one of my fav albums of the year.

U2 x Fred Falke

Yet another try by U2 to stay relevant. Mr. Falke does a good job backing up Bono’s mediocre vocals. I just want to hear Fred Falke’s remix of Grizzly Bear’s “Two Weeks” already.

Annie x Fred Falke

I love how Krautrock this track sounds at first, The swirling synth swells, the pedaling bass line and the motoring drum part, Neu! and Kraftwerk would be proud. Then the track kicks into its full fledged disco, dance goodness. And then the bridge just filters out and melts away then trickles back into its full fidelity. I can’t wait for Mr. Falke’s reworking of the already catchy “Two Weeks” by Grizzly Bear. Cheers, Mr. Falke.

Rob da Bank & Friends 3.9.2009: Fred Falke & Busy P

Rob da Bank wrangles up two 60 min mixes from the legends, Fred Falke and Busy P. Fred Falke drops all his own remixes and edits of some his favorite tracks. Falke has edits of Hans Zimmer AND Todd Rundgren!! Busy P gives a little taste of what he would listen to at the end of a night of partying, a little chilled out but still bangertastic.

Little Boots – New In Town (Fred Falke Remix)

I totally have a huge crush on Little Boots. She is so cute. AND she makes good music?! ::swoon:: You are my dream girl, too bad you live across the sea. Anyways Fred Falke works his remixing magic on this new Little Boots track “New in Town”, a little indie sounding for Mr. Falke but still good.

Cheers, Disco Dust
