An impressive mini mix for a band that is not known for their DJ skills. A little Daft Punk, The Rapture, Fake Blood, and Cassius does a body good.

“The Belgian based DJ’s also known as Aeroplane prepared an amazing 5 Min Minimix for Annie Mac’s show. Furthermore, they are also currently on tour in Europe so don’t miss them!” via @samisateenager
Amazing minimix, any mix that begins with Laura Brannigan automatically wins me over.
The mysterious and amazing Fake Blood hooked Annie Mac up with this fantastic 5 minute minimix. I love how he gets Busta Rhymes to say “Fake Blood”!! WHO IS FAKE BLOOD?! Apparently not Soulwax. And apparently I have been out of the loop in the blogosphere, DJ Touche Myspace. Thank you Asian Dan readers for informing me.
Justice open up with the Soulwax remix of Walter Murphy’s “Fifth of Beethoven”(If anyone has this hook it up!) then drop Ginuwine’s “Pony” & Boney M’s “Sunny” later on. Interesting mix that only Justice could pull off.
This new track premiered tonight on Annie Mac’s Mash Up on Radio 1. This tune has a very classic rave feel with the magic touch of Justice and Soulwax. This is a track from Midfield General’s upcoming album General Disarray. Midfield General took on the Executive Producer role for Justice’s single D.A.N.C.E. and in return Xavier De Rosnay helped produce the forthcoming single Disco Sirens.
“DJ Annie Mac premiered a track called ‘Disco Sirens’ by Midfield General. She called it ‘Justice vs Soulwax’, which is a bit confusing. In fact Xavier from Justice produced the track and David Dewaele (of Soulwax) has mixed it.” (Via Soulwax.info)
My favorite Ratatat track, the harmonized gutiar and organ is so metal. It is also Thomas Bangalter’s favorite track by them which is why he spun it at the Louis Vuitton fashion show.
Dr. Dre is finishing up his “final” album, Detox and is planning to release it June 2008. He apparently spent 72 hours straight making beats. He is now working on the new Eminem and plans to lift weights, make beats, and spend time with his family. OG.
