Tirzah : Send Me

It is always a good day when there is new music from Tirzah. “Send Me” leans into Mica Levi’s latest guitar driven production style as Tirzah floats and laments over a hypnotic guitar line that explodes at the end with her laptop grunge style distortion that dissolves into the void.

Real Lies : Late Arcades

“Late Arcades” is a blurry memory that slowly comes into focus. A track that soundtracks a longing for a moment and time that hopefully will return.

CFCF : memoryland

CFCF’s “memoryland” is already Album of the Year for me. It is a collection of songs that are undeniable and showcase what an artist can do when they truly create a something that only they can make. It is a feat to create an extremely cerebral and conceptual album adn yet still make it fun and keep it grounded as pop songs. Every element has been labored over and it truly shines. Bravo, CFCF.

Erol Alkan : Automatic (LA Priest Remix)

A perfect union of two of my favorite bloghaus trailblazers. Erol with his signature style and sound along with LA Priest, who in my mind made an extremely underrated track “Engine” which was Phantasy Records first ever release.Truly a raw and fun remix.

Malibu’s “One Life” from 2019 is a perfect album. And now it gets the remix touch from some special talent. Somehow every track has become even more expansive and cinematic.

Leon Vynehall : An Exhale

Leon Vynehall is preparing to release his second album “Rare, Forever”- out April 30 on Ninja Tune. “An Exhale” is an icy synth driven track that slices through the air into a massive climax that just dissolves into a spacey atmosphere.

Low Spirits : Worlds Apart / Miscall to Prayer

Low Spirits is Fred MacPherson & Cavan Mccarthy’s spacey synth project. “Worlds Apart” feels like something David Byrne would’ve created late in his career and “Miscall to Prayer” is an expansive cinematic collage that takes you on a journey in under 5 minutes.

Point Hsu : Mashup Experiment Vol. 1

Point Hsu ventures down an experimental Mashup path with this collection of seven songs that you can download at your own leisure and price. You can only “find a Taiwanese pop classic like Stanley Huang’s “End of the Night” mixed with a track from experimental German artist Alva Noto” in this first Volume of Mashup’s.

Róisín Murphy : Assimilation

A super heady and spacey reworking of “Simulation” that still retains all the fun elements. Looking forward to this new album of re-worked/remixes entitled “Crooked Machine” out April 23.

Andy Stott : Hard To Tell

Andy Stott’s latest track from his upcoming album “Never the Right Time” is a simple and beautiful guitar driven track that feels like a dusty western draped in a dream pop sheen. It is a delicate and fragile feeling track held together by a warm beating drum machine.
